Arthur Kill Boat Graveyard
The Arthur Kill Ship Graveyard is one of the most haunting industrial sites in New York City — a tidal wetland along the Arthur Kill waterway on Staten Island's western shore where scores of abandoned barges, tugboats, and ferries have slowly decayed since the mid-20th century. A unique landscape of maritime history and urban ecology.
Permanent Collection
Not a formal museum — an outdoor site featuring dozens of abandoned vessels in various states of decay, accessible by kayak or from adjacent public areas.
